Description

Potatoes of the Spunta variety, one of the best known and appreciated all over the world. They are elongated, with a thin yellow skin and light flesh, and have a mild, buttery flavor. Cultivated by Joaquín and Maricruz with regenerative agriculture.

Its success comes from its good culinary quality. This potato is ideal in all kinds of dishes and suitable for boiling, baking, frying or mashing.

This type of tuber is a food rich in carbohydrates, so it provides a lot of energy, and is a great source of potassium. It also contains vitamin C, vitamin B, folic acid and minerals such as magnesium and iron.

Potatoes are harvested in July-August, although if well preserved, they can be consumed and kept all year round.

Maricruz and Joaquín practice regenerative agriculture. This means that they care not only about growing high quality organic products in a sustainable way, but also about taking care of the countryside. For example, they protect the vegetation cover of the soil, which they fertilise with dried organic manure. They also allow indigenous grazing and manage irrigation with water that comes down from the Sierra de Baza through natural irrigation channels.

How will they get there?
